What's the right time to book a car for our wedding?
Once you've fixed the date and the venue, get in touch. Summer Saturdays are the busiest days, and certain vehicles on those dates go before anything else, so talking early leaves you the most choice. Timings don't need to be final at that stage. We confirm availability per enquiry after seeing your date, your venues and a rough outline of the day.
Does the car stay put while the photos are taken?
It does. We book wedding cars for a stretch of time, not one journey, so yours remains on hand while the group photographs are taken. The photographer is welcome to include it in shots, and your chauffeur will move it to wherever it's needed. Got a certain picture in mind? Tell us beforehand, and we'll make room for it in the running order.
Is there room for a big dress with a long train?
There is, although it affects which car makes most sense. How high the door and seat sit, and how wide the opening is, count for more than the overall size of the vehicle, so describe the gown in your enquiry. Our wedding chauffeurs know how to deal with a train and a veil. If a bridesmaid prefers to handle it, they'll step back.
Could you ferry guests from the ceremony to the reception?
We can, and it's among the most helpful jobs wedding cars do. Shuttles between the venues and late runs back to hotels get planned together with the bridal cars. Send rough guest numbers, the hotels they're booked into and approximate times. Summer Saturdays are busy, and when several vehicles are involved we confirm availability per enquiry, so raise it early.
Suppose the morning runs behind, what then?
Your timeline already has slack in it, so an ordinary wedding morning won't cause trouble. Should the delay outgrow that slack, your chauffeur stays patient and keeps the driving gentle instead of racing to recover minutes. Meanwhile we have a discreet word with your planner or the venue, so those who can rearrange things get the chance to. No one will tell the bride she's late.
Will you look at our venue ahead of the day?
If the approach is out of the ordinary, we will, or we'll put the important questions to the venue instead. A gravel drive, a single track lane, a gated estate, a low arch or a tight turning circle each changes which car makes sense and where it can wait. Finding that out early is far better than learning it on the morning with a bride in the back.
