Frequently asked questions
Will the car wait outside the theatre during the performance?
Not usually, because most West End streets do not permit it. Your chauffeur parks or waits nearby and returns to an agreed collection point before the performance ends. From your side the experience is exactly the same: you walk out of the foyer, the car is there, and nobody has to look for it in the dark or stand about on the pavement.
How do you know when to be there if the finish time is uncertain?
We check published running times, allow for intervals and speeches, and ask you for your best estimate when the evening is planned. Your chauffeur is in position before the earliest sensible finish and then stays until you message. If the evening runs longer than expected, that is entirely normal and nothing needs to be rearranged on your part.
Can we go on to dinner or a bar afterwards?
Yes, and it is easier if you mention the possibility when you enquire, even if it is not yet certain. The car is held for the evening, so an additional stop is usually just a message to your chauffeur. An evening that runs substantially longer than the one planned depends on availability, so we will confirm that rather than simply assume it.
We are ten people going to a gala. What do you suggest?
Almost certainly more than one vehicle. Ten guests in formal dress are not comfortable in a single car, and coats and bags take up more room than people expect. Two or three cars travelling together keep the party in step at both ends and let guests leave at different times. Availability for multiple vehicles is confirmed when we review the itinerary.
Do you cover events outside London?
Yes. We work across the United Kingdom, so Glyndebourne, Chichester, Stratford-upon-Avon, regional arenas and country house dinners are arranged in the same way. Longer evenings involve a late drive back, which is planned with the chauffeur's hours in mind. Occasionally an overnight stay near the venue is the better answer, and we will say so if we think it is.
Can you help with the tickets themselves?
We can assist by researching and requesting them on your behalf through our event ticket service. We hold no ticket stock of our own, so availability and cost come from the venue or the official seller, are put to you for approval, and are confirmed before anything proceeds. The car is then arranged separately once the shape of the evening is fixed.
