What do you need to know about my pet?
What the animal is, roughly how big it is, how it behaves in a car and what it travels in. Tell us about anxiety, car sickness, medication or recent surgery, and whether you are travelling in the same vehicle. Those details decide the vehicle, the route and where the stops fall, so they are worth sending in your first message.
Do I need to bring a crate or carrier?
Wherever possible, yes. Familiar equipment settles an animal far better than something borrowed, and a crate the animal already sleeps in is the best option there is. A properly fitted harness clipped to a seat anchor works well for many dogs. Tell us in advance what you are bringing, so the vehicle chosen has room for it.
Can you take my dog to the airport?
Yes, to the animal facility the airline or airport has told you to use, which is usually separate from the passenger terminal. We plan the timings with margin, because those buildings are rarely beside the terminals. Confirm the process, the location and the requirements directly with the facility, the airline and your vet, then send us the arrival time you are given.
Are assistance dogs accepted?
Always, and no advance request is needed for the dog to travel. It is still helpful to mention it when you book, so a vehicle with proper floor space is chosen and any equipment can be stored sensibly. If you have other requirements, such as a low step or help with a folded chair, send those in the same message.
What happens if my dog makes a mess in the car?
Covers and a groundsheet handle most of it, and the vehicle is cleaned properly afterwards; that is a normal part of this work. A severe mess can take a car out of service for the rest of the day, and any charge for that is set out in the terms confirmed with your booking rather than raised afterwards.
Will my pet ever be left alone in the car?
No. An animal is never left alone in a stationary vehicle, in any weather. A parked car heats up dangerously fast in sun, and that is not a risk worth taking for any length of time. If a stop means the animal cannot come with you, the chauffeur stays with the vehicle and keeps the cabin at a comfortable temperature.
