Eco Chauffeur
Lower-emission travel that is planned rather than advertised. Hybrid and fully electric options are offered where they genuinely suit the itinerary, and the specific vehicle is confirmed once your route and dates have been reviewed by a person.
Plan your chauffeur journey
London Chauffeurs provides itinerary-led private travel for airport transfers, executive travel, private aviation, events and long-distance UK journeys. Availability and pricing are confirmed for the requested itinerary.
Frequently asked questions
Will I definitely get an electric car?
Not automatically. Electric and hybrid vehicles are offered subject to availability for your date and route, and confirmed once a person has reviewed the itinerary. If a lower-emission vehicle cannot be provided for the whole journey, we will tell you which parts it can cover. We would rather set the expectation correctly than name a specific car and change it on the morning.
Do you make environmental claims about these journeys?
No. We do not describe journeys as emission-free, we do not run or sell an environmental scheme, and we hold no certificate of that kind. We also do not quote emissions, range or consumption figures, because they vary with the vehicle, the load, the weather and the route. What we will confirm is the vehicle type used and how the route was planned.
How does charging affect a long journey?
On town work it is invisible to you. On a long route it is planned in, because a charging stop takes longer than filling a tank and fast chargers are not evenly spread. We build the stop into the timings around your fixed appointments. Where an itinerary is too tight for that, we will suggest a hybrid or another vehicle instead.
Is there less luggage space in an electric car?
Sometimes, yes. Battery packaging can reduce or reshape the boot in some models, and plug-in hybrids can lose space to the same components. It rarely matters for cabin bags and often matters for a family with full-size cases. Give us an honest count of what is travelling and we will suggest a vehicle that takes it comfortably rather than exactly.
Can you work to our company travel policy?
Yes, provided we know what it says. Tell us whether a hybrid is acceptable or electric only, whether every leg must comply, and who can approve an exception on a long or awkward route. We can confirm in writing which vehicle type was used for each journey, which is usually what an internal report needs. We will not produce calculated figures.
Can part of the day be electric and part not?
Yes, and it is often the sensible answer. An electric car suits meetings around town, while a long motorway leg at the end of the day may be better served by something else. The handover is planned at a sensible point such as a hotel, an office or a station. Say so when you enquire, because it affects how the day is built.
